As we enter my birthday month, yes, that's right. My month. I am forced to look back at some of the things I have accomplished, and re-evaluate what I truly want to accomplish. I'm well into my 20's and nearing 30. I swear I'm still 17. Suddenly all the milestones I was looking forward to are faint memories. So, in order for me to look forward to my age, I feel it necessary to write down what I've done the past 26 years of my life.

-Pierced my ears at 19
-Taught my husband how to correctly make a bed
-Taught Ty how to hang up his towel
That doesn't seem like a lot. But to me, that was my whole world. However, my life is just beginning. I want to make something of myself. I want to build others up, and make women feel good about themselves. I want to encourage others to give each other compliments, and be positive about their appearance. I want to become a mom someday, and give Ty the gift of being a daddy, and Addy a big sister (Maybe she will learn her boundaries by then, but who knows). I want to make others smile, and enjoy the little things like morning snuggles, the smell of air after a rain storm, and the look my husband gives me after a long, frustrating day at work. I've had a lot of great experiences the past 26 years, and I'm only looking to add to it. My next 26 years, I want to become a better person, a more loving and nurturing person.
I feel like life goes so quickly. I remember being in Elementary school and thinking the school year lasted F O R E V E R. I'm pretty sure someone put a fast forward button on my life considering I don't remember how in the world the day goes by so fast. There aren't enough hours in the day for me to get everything done on my list! I often feel like Adam Sandler in Click. If you wish you were older, wish you knew something, wish you could do something, you will never grow from your experiences. I think that's the beauty of life. You can't take advantage of it. Too quickly the days turn into weeks, into months, and into years. Pretty soon your 84, have dentures, and can't eat anything sticky otherwise your teeth will fall out. Enjoy the little things, friends. They are always what count the most.
